Appreciate the humor of the Tambakis pick, but not quite sure I get the joke. Anyone?

Tambakis was the first ever Atlanta United signing. My guess was/is it's a semi-ironic 'forever-in-our-hearts' nod, and joke pick because Guzan is clearly our locked in starter.

Interpreted harshly, could also be 'May as well be Tambakis back there.' I'd argue that forgets the one game he played for us. Though he seems to be the clear starter for New Mexico in USL Championship: "Tambakis is the all-time USL-C leader in saves (619), and is second in clean sheets (52), entering the 2025 season. All-time he is first in New Mexico United history in saves (304), clean sheets (26), and is third, all-time in appearances for the club (124 in all competitions.)"

Perhaps you are right. NMU is my second team, so I've seen a lot of him. Solid USL keeper, but we made the right decision way back when.

I think Guz lets two go by him tonight but also here is hoping the soccer gods sprinkle some of that “Richmond” Magic into our attack tonight “fooooootball is lifeeeeee”

A gifted goal seems highly probable, especially with a former Atlanta United player on the other side.

Haven’t we seen the story where every other team we played that is struggling offensively gets a few goals against us? Is that not what we will see tonight?

Are we really at a point where are best option at LW is Edwin? Is there anyone on the 2s we can bring up?

Edwin is better than any of the 2s options. Better balanced would probably be Saba-Brennan, as Brennan has shown plenty of willingness to take players 1v1 while you get the verticality and pace from Saba on the left. But Edwin-Saba is probably a better pair if the plan is to sit back and counter at speed.
