The (best guess at) the state of Atlanta United's roster heading into 2026
Roster rules helmets on. Rev up those spreadsheets. Disregard your loved ones who are worried about you.
Atlanta United will play its first preseason match of the year on Friday afternoon. Normally, the first preseason match features an incomplete roster still waiting on key pieces to arrive. But it feels like you can go ahead and consider Atlanta’s roster close to locked in. U22 left back Elias Baéz should be announced soon. Atlanta will try to add a true No. 6 to replace Bartosz Slisz. And…that’s probably about it.
Maybe there’s a buyout in the works, maybe a team reaches out with a deus ex machina offer that offloads a bad contract, but, as of now, there’s no real indication those things are coming.
So, to help you understand why there isn’t more on the way, I figured now is as good a time as any to look at Atlanta’s roster and salary cap situation. It’s also as good a time as any to offer you access to our running depth chart and salary cap estimate spreadsheet. Click the link below to check it out and come back to it when you need it. We’ll keep it updated as best we can.
