I don’t know of another player, including Josef, that could bring the spirit of the fan base up like Almiron.

I understand the emotional attachment but don’t think it is the right move. Hope he proves me wrong.

Curious Your think that. He has a strong defensive press, can run at players or put a through ball on a dime, and runs for 100 minutes. He would make a great winger, as he and Saba can interchange at will depending on the game situation. He’s not the fastest but he’s still got plenty of gas left in the tank.

If it it coupled with one of those strikers I think it would work, I would agree though if he is the only big move this window

~25M for selling him the first time, less ~10M to buy him back, plus ~2.5M for our sell-on clause from the original sale... even if we don't make a penny in the future, we'd still have netted ~17.5M over his career. I think the math maths just fine. What's a second MLS cup worth, anyway?

Given the sell-on clause, his value for fan enthusiasm, as well as being pretty much exactly the style player we need, he's a better deal for AU than any other club I can think of.

Wait, really? We still have a 25% sell-on stake in Miggy? That's hilarious. I wonder how often a team benefits on both sides of that interaction

I want the Ostrich back but I'm a huge sucker for nostalgia. I'm nostalgic for nostalgia.

If Almiron return. It’s going to be hard for any winger to get on the field.

He played a couple successful seasons on the wing at Newcastle. I think. I think it was right wing?

Let's get him and then let coach decide best place for him to play.

Does he really belong on the wing though?

If we arent planning him for the wing we shouldnt sign him
