Not giving Rob Valentino the nod for manager, to me, will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in club history! There was clearly something there and they pissed it away for Ronny Deila.

I think that is very well said. Not to hit a man when he is suffering but Garth made a huge mistake. His pride of hiring his first coach made us a very bad club this year. Rob controlled the locker room and made us a team if you will that was able to compete.

Fair point. I’d be willing to buy that Garth might’ve had a bit of tunnel vision with it being is first coaching hire, etc. Unfortunate, but I don’t think it should cost him his job at this juncture.

Agreed! Call me a simpleton devoid of facts, but Rob knew how to reach his players. Miranchuk's reaction to scoring with Russia over the break, full smile and laughing, spoke volumes to me. Sure, it was a blowout win and we've had one, maybe two of those all year. We've also lacked any joy on the pitch. If you can't have fun playing (even as a pro), you probably won't be giving it the extra effort needed to win in a salary-cap league, especially on the road

I’ve thought that Deila was a mistake for quite a while now. This “team” is a disjointed mess of epic proportions and it’s primarily on Deila. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a group of pro athletes so completely fail to get on the same page for the entirety of a season. Has the talent been disappointing and likely not complimentary in its collective qualities? No doubt. But even still this team has underperformed in an epic and ugly fashion.

In what league on this planet is a manager allowed to continue with a top payroll and record like this one?!

I was a Rob V fan and i wanted his passion over Ronny D's winning record.
