Atlanta United picked up their first away point of the season on Saturday night with a 1-1 draw against New York City FC.
It was a tale of two halves as the Five Stripes came out of the halftime break and piled on the pressure to finally secure an equalizer through Jamal Thiare. Gonzalo Pineda’s side then transitioned to some stout defending to walk away with a valuable point.
