My one piece of advice for Tata

It’s officially February, and real Atlanta United soccer is happening this month. It feels like forever since the nightmare 2025 season mercifully ended. In case you just remembered the team existed and decided to click on this, Ronny Deila is gone and Tata Martino is back for his second stint, trying to revive the Five Stripes.
Tata is a world-class manager who’s coached teams all over the world. He’s forgotten 100x more about soccer than I’ll ever know. Despite that, I was lying in bed one night imagining a scenario where Tata Martino, MLS Cup champion, came to me—a soccer blogger with zero professional experience—and asked for one piece of advice about the 2026 season.
