Look. Saturday night was a miserable night for everyone. The players had to endure freezing, windy, and icy conditions. Gonzalo Pineda was left with an absence-ladened squad to choose from. And we all had to sit through 90 minutes of suboptimal soccer to inevitably arrive at the predictable result of Atlanta United losing away from home.
I’m never one to rely on excuses, but sometimes it’s impossible not to. Unfortunately, in the MLS landscape there are a handful of matches every season that you just have to ignore happened as they really don’t give us much to work with. I will confidently say that this match firmly counts as one of those this season.
With that being said, I owe you a small explanation as to why I chose Tristan Muyumba as my highest rated player on a terrible night.
