The Major League Soccer Player’s Association released its 2024 salary guide today. It’s always a major moment for the nerdiest MLS followers around because we get to gawk at things like Xherdan Shaqiri making $8 million and debate the best ways to build a roster in this salary-capped league.

We’re going to dig into it (and provide a handy resource!) but this is like driving a car. Before you go out onto the road, you need to understand how dangerous the machine you’re about to operate is.
