I think that's a bit harsh. Galarza was clearly one of our most impactful players during his time with the team. That's despite joining late, not having much support, and moving to an entirely new country. I get that this team has an abundance of midfielders, but losing Galarza is still a loss of quality when we're not exactly stacked in that capacity.
Maybe, but still can’t justify the cost when we have bigger holes to fill. I loved his freshness when he first came on. Just got worse over time. He’s definitely better than almost every midfielder we have, but THAT much better for the money? No. Not when we need a winger, , a number six, probably another center back because barracol obviously not cutting it, and if in some magical world, we can get rid of ELL and we would need another striker too
I understand the roster difficulties in trying to bring Galarza on permanently. As much as I like his presence, we have an abundance of midfielders at the moment.
I'm more worried about reports that we are exercising the loan on Berrocal. We don't have an abundance of CBs, but I don't rate him as being particularly helpful. I think I would rather fill in his spot during the secondary transfer window.
Their midfield was discernibly better with Galarza playing. Like Miggy in 2018, you don’t realize how big an impact he was having until he’s gone. Even this week, AU was +1 on goal differential in the half he played against Orlando. They were -2 without him against Columbus. Look at the rest of the games, his influence was significant whether or not he was great on the ball. His work rate was insane.
Galarza made an impact the moment he stepped onto the pitch.
And then it went away. His shooting and decisions were awful near the end.

he wasnt great with the ball but i still expect a noticeable negative effect not having him
That said he still was gonna cost more than what he provided
