Atlanta United's scouting department is rowing in the same direction

Data scientist Arjun Balaraman leads that data side of a department that's built one of the best rosters in MLS

There’s been a shift. Under club president Garth Lagerwey, Atlanta United has begun to elevate their use of analytics to the forefront of their scouting process. The club has brought in outside help from SkillCorner to provide tracking data, StatsBomb to provide numbers on players in leagues across the world, and Src Ftbl to provide guidance and resources when it comes to sifting through thousands of players to find the one who fits.
