Atlanta United opened the new season with a disappointing 2-0 loss in Cincinnati on Saturday. Despite losing their best player 10 minutes in, the hosts eventually took control of the match and dominated throughout, finally breaking through late to take the three points.
Obviously, after the horrors of last season, this is not the start to 2026 anyone wanted to see. However, it’s not all bad as there were some bright spots to point out despite the negative result.
