Another second half stoppage time goal from Atlanta United helped rescue a point for the second straight match on Wednesday. Will Reilly picked a fine time to score his first career MLS goal, smashing in a loose ball at the doorstep to save his side the embarrassment of losing at home to the Chicago Fire.

The Five Stripes’ attacking efforts continue to defy logic and look absolutely rudderless 22 matches into the season. It took Reilly’s fortunate equalizer, a low percentage Alexey Miranchuk long shot, and seven saves from Brad Guzan to avoid another horrible loss in front of the home crowd.

With another match in just a few days, there’s really not much to harp on that we haven’t said over and over again. I highly recommend watching Joe and Sam’s post-match reaction video from last night as they summed up perfectly how soul-sucking it is to watch this team try to attack this season. I’m just going to focus on the match itself and highlight a few key things I noticed:
